Old Jinan Train Station was constructed from the design of the German architect Hermann Fischer. It could well be one of the most important Gothic architecture in Asia. This beautiful train station was dismantled by the government in 1992, there are now tacky type of buildings. How disgusting! Certainlyour Chinese leaders show only strong liking for removing. Before that, a group of experts led by Hermann Fischer’s son came to Jinan and started to overhaul the old train station annually. How angry he really was to see his father’s building lying debris! He left Jinan sadly and didn't say anything. We know that he had decided to never come here.
